Where to go for reading

Whatever your interest or reason for reading, we can help you quickly and easily find the best way to do so. For physical books, visit our libraries – you can check our online catalogue first to make sure the book you want is in stock. We also have bookswap points around the borough if you want to try pot luck.

Reading groups are great fun whether you’re new or just getting back into reading or very comfortable with it. They are an opportunity to meet new people, make friends and have a good chat, as well as getting support and suggestions for your reading.

Finally, you can also access the Islington Library Collection of e-books and e-audio books completely for free! There’s a huge range of titles to choose from, including magazines and newspapers, that you can access through your phone or tablet.
